I. Test Objective

Verify the waterproof performance of the equipment under the IP65 protection rating, confirming that internal electrical, hydraulic and control components operate normally under continuous high-pressure water spray, with no water ingress, short circuit or functional failure, meeting the requirements of industrial humid, high-pressure washing scenarios.


II. Test Basis

1. GB/T 4208-2017 "Degrees of Protection Provided by Enclosures (IP Code)"

2. IEC 60529:2013 "Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP Code)"

3. IP65 definition:

◦ Dust rating 6: completely prevents ingress of foreign objects and dust

◦ Water rating 5: prevents water jets; low-pressure water jets from any direction must not cause harmful water ingress


III. Test Equipment and Conditions

IV. Test Procedure

(1) Pre-test inspection

1. Confirm all hatches, interfaces and seals are installed and locked as per specification.

2. Power-on test: camera image clear, LED fill lights normal, hydraulic arm responsive, no short circuit in electrical circuits.

3. Record the equipment's initial state (appearance, functional parameters) and take baseline photos.

(2) High-pressure water spray test

1. Secure the equipment on the test platform and spray the front, back, sides, top and bottom with high-pressure water, 15 minutes per side.

2. Keep the equipment powered and running during spraying, monitoring the camera feed, hydraulic action and electrical status in real time.

3. Simulate actual operation, focusing continuous spray on interfaces, seal seams, camera compartments and hydraulic pipe fittings.


(3) Post-test inspection

1. Stop spraying and dry the equipment's external surfaces with a clean cloth.

2. Open key sealed compartments (electrical compartment, control compartment) and check for water ingress or condensation.

3. Run functional tests again and compare with pre-test results to confirm normal operation.

4. Check seals and interfaces for wear, deformation or water seepage and take post-test photos.

V. Test Results and Analysis

(1) Appearance and seal inspection

• No obvious damage to the equipment's external surfaces; no water ingress, seepage or condensation at any sealed hatch, interface or pipe fitting.

• Seal strips, O-rings and other parts show no aging, deformation or damage; sealing performance is good.
