From 0 to 1: A Crawler Chassis Born for the Gutter
At the start of the project, the team visited dozens of large-scale pig farms across South China, measuring hundreds of gutters with tape measures and calipers: varying widths, different depths, often with residue at the bottom — traditional cleaning equipment could hardly fit.
Wheeled chassis tended to slip on wet gutter floors, so the team switched to crawler tracks. The crawler chassis brought stronger traction and obstacle-crossing ability. Combined with a scraper with 220mm lifting travel, it adapts to gutters of different depths and shapes.
For the nozzle layout, the team also went through multiple rounds of debate before settling on the combination of 4 fan-shaped nozzles plus 360° rotation adjustment, striking a balance between cleaning width and water impact.
